This week, we are proud to host a special conversation between two icons in the Minnesota music community, Lori Barbero of Babes in Toyland and Venus DeMars of All The Pretty Horses.
Lori and Venus are two of the keynote speakers at next weekend's big MN Music Coalition Summit at St. Catherine University (along with Laura Viers and PaviElle), and they will reflect on the impact of the #MeToo movement and their three decades of experience navigating a male-dominated music industry.
The Current's Sean McPherson also stops by to tell us more about Purple Current, our new 24/7 stream that explores Prince's musical universe, and we'll listen to a mix of songs by Minnesota artists who you can hear on the stream like Flyte Tyme, Lady Lark, the Girls, and of course Prince.
