Al Church may be one of the most omnipresent musicians in the Twin Cities rock scene, and can often be seen playing guitar as a sideman as well as fronting his own bands. This week, Al is stepping into the spotlight with a new solo album, Night Games -- and ahead of the release show Friday at the Turf Club, he'll visit the studio to perform songs off the album and talk about his ever-evolving musical life.
In the second hour of the show you'll hear segments from Andrea Swensson's recent interview with Owen Husney, best known as Prince's first manager and the person who helped him sign to Warner Bros. Records, whose roots in the Twin Cities scene date back to the 1960s.
