This Saturday, it's the 65th birthday of one of the coolest people in rock history -- she's a bassist, singer, poet, artist, writer, icon, inspiration: Kim Gordon. Throughout her career in Sonic Youth and since the breakup of the band and her marriage to co-founder Thurston Moore, Kim Gordon has helped redefine rock gender roles, and pushed the envelope with her writing and music-making.
