Next week there's two great Kicks era bands playing the Minnesota Zoo together - Psychedelic Furs and James. The Furs were one of the legends of Post-Punk, wrapping their driving art rock around Richard Butler's Bowie-esque vocals. They wrote some pop hits later, but their early work was dark, propulsive - a little dangerous maybe.

James hail from Manchester but were never part of the Mad-chester scene - instead forging their own sound behind sardonically charismatic singer Tim Booth.
