Mark Wheat gets to guest-host Teenage Kicks again for Jim McGuinn, and we'll celebrate as our featured artist R.E.M. leader Michael Stipe, turning the big 6-0 this weekend as he releases his first solo singles and prepares for a big 2020, we'll play some classic tracks from R.E.M. and some of his collaborations.

We'll also commemorate debuts: of Prince at the Capri Theatre, and of David Bowie on Saturday Night Live. And there's more birthday cake for Bernard Sumner (Joy Division; New Order), Robin Guthrie (Cocteau Twins) and Chris Stein (Blondie).
