Howard Jones
February 29, 2020
This week on Teenage Kicks, we feature one of the biggest new wave hitmakers of the mid-'80s (who is also in town next week for a show at the Ordway). It's Howard Jones.
Howard Jones is a divisive figure — some critics (and DJs) couldn't stand him, but he has sold millions of records in his career — and here's some more facts about Howard Jones: his parents ran his fan club; "No One is To Blame" was produced by and featured Phil Collins on drums; Howard played at Live Aid; he toured with a mime named Jed in his band; and after his hits stopped coming, he wrote Top 10 songs for other artists in the '90s while also running a vegetarian restaurant.
In 2001, Jones played keyboards for Ringo Starr, and he's continued to put out new music all the way up to today. Howard Jones is the featured artist this week on Teenage Kicks.
