Bob Marley, 'Uprising'
June 13, 2020
In June of 1980, Bob Marley released Uprising, which would be his final studio album. The songwriting on Uprising moved away from the topical protest songs of 1979's Survival, and it took on a religious tone, with Marley addressing his Rastafarian beliefs, his love of family and humanity, with gentler grooves and songs that would go on to become classics. Celebrate Bob Marley and the 40th anniversary of Uprising, this week on Teenage Kicks.
