Teenage Kicks®
David Bowie's '70s Berlin trilogy, plus 'Five Years'
January 09, 2021
It's been five years now since we lost David Bowie — just days after his 69th birthday and release of his last studio album, Blackstar. We revere and restore Bowie almost every week on Teenage Kicks; his influence is massive, and this week we'll feature highlights from his late '70s Berlin trilogy — Heroes, Low and Lodger — albums that weren't as commercially successful as Ziggy Stardust or Let's Dance, but have inspired generations since their release. We miss Bowie, but celebrate this crucial era in his career this week on Teenage Kicks. What's more, we'll also have a new single from Bowie — covering Bob Dylan — and a new tribute from Duran Duran, covering Bowie!
