The Time Machine takes the short drive back to 2009 this time. It was a banner year for indie rock with big albums from Animal Collective, Grizzly Bear and Dirty Projectors. The Avett Brothers released the most popular album of their career so far. Jay-Z dropped his 11th album, Blueprint, which debuted at No. 1. Barack Obama became the 44th President of the United States. It’s all 2009, our year on this episode of Time Machine.
