The Time Machine bops back to 1964 this time. You probably bought your first 45 from those lovable mop tops, the Beatles, because it was the British Invasion. In the States, it was the best year yet for Motown, with big hits from the Temptations, Mary Wells and the Supremes. Buck Owens put the Bakersfield Sound on the map, and Chuck Berry had no particular place to go. And Bonanza was the top TV show. It’s all 1964, our year on this episode of Time Machine.
