Aztec Camera’s Roddy Frame was just 16 when his band was signed to Glasgow’s influential Postcard Records. Still a teen when debut album "High Land, Hard Rain" was released, an album that one critic called “the perfect bridge between indie idealism and the pop sensibilities of the early ‘80s.” Frame would veer away from stardom on subsequent releases, but he'd chart an eclectic course that melded punk and soul to his sound, including a duet with The Clash’s Mick Jones. We celebrate birthday boy wonder Roddy Frame and Aztec Camera, this week on Teenage Kicks.
