Now it is not often that Transmission lands on a holiday, but that's exactly what's happening tonight. So you're darn right we're going to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, Transmission style. For the next 60 minutes, we're going to be diving deep into the history of not only one of Ireland's greatest — but one of rock and roll's greatest — bands in history. I'm talking of course, about U2. Sixty minutes is barely long enough to even spotlight one of their records, so I'm going to keep the talking to a bare minimum, as we focus on the early years of the band, and let's go ahead and kick off the St. Paddy's Day special of U2, right now, on The Current.
