By the end of 1982, David Bowie had returned from Berlin, spent more and more time acting, and was fed up with his longtime label, RCA. He wanted a fresh start, and to get there, he chose Nile Rodgers of Chic to produce what would become his most successful album — "Let’s Dance," released April 14, 1983.
We'll celebrate the album this week on Teenage Kicks.

This picture taken on December 3, 2015, shows U.S. music producer and guitarist Nile Rodgers speaking during a performance with his band Chic in Tokyo. Funk legend Nile Rodgers, the man behind some of the biggest hits of the past five decades, says he isn't getting "weird" that he has yet to enter Rock and Roll's Hall of Fame. The super-producer, guitarist and co-founder of disco trailblazers Chic, has sprinkled his gold dust on seminal acts such as Sister Sledge, Diana Ross, David Bowie, Madonna, Duran Duran, Lady Gaga and Daft Punk in an extraordinary career dating back to the 1970s.
