This week, we celebrate the birthday of Chrissie Hynde — founder, frontwoman and principal songwriter of the Pretenders, as well as a rock icon — whose birthday was this past Wednesday, Sept. 7.

We’ll also celebrate Gary Numan, who, after some COVID-related delays and reschedules, brings his show to the First Avenue Mainroom on Sunday, Sept. 11.
