It is no secret that the Transmission radio show is heavily based around the classic alternative sounds of the 1970s, 80s and 90s. Well, this week on the program, we spotlight one of the best labels that introduced many of our favorite careers: Sire Records in New York City. From Depeche Mode, the Smiths, and Echo and the Bunnymen, to the Cure, Talking Heads and Ramones. It's gonna be like an hour of pure alternative royalty.
