The Time Machine hits 1978 this time. Willie Nelson surprised his fans when he recorded his album of old pop standards called Stardust; his fans loved it. Bruce Springsteen showed a more mature sound on his Darkness on the Edge of Town effort. Cheap Trick were becoming one of the biggest bands in the land. Rolling Stones made their best album since Exile on Main Street. The band Chic packed the dance floor with a song they wrote about not being allowed into a disco. And speaking of disco, Saturday Night Fever became a cultural phenomenon. It's all 1978, our year on this episode of Time Machine Tuesday.
