There was a time in ‘90s indie rock when bands that featured lush, gorgeous melodies; droning, chiming guitars; and soft, muted vocals were all the rage. That sound has been making a big comeback the past few years, and this week on the program, I plan on covering the artists who inspired that early scene, the bands who lived it, and the acts who proudly carry on that sound today. That genre is, of course, called “dream pop,” and we’re celebrating it on this week’s episode.
