On the heels of our astounding countdown of the 893 Essential Songs of the 90s, this week on Teenage Kicks we're showcasing the debut, self-titled album from British artist Seal. Released on May 24, 1991, Seal debuted at No. 1 in the U.K. and went on to win Best British Album at the 1992 Brit Awards. Of Nigerian and Afro-Brazilian heritage, the mega-talented and best-selling artist brings his 30th anniversary tour to the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis on May 19, along with another legendary band, The Buggles. We'll be spinning Seal and The Buggles along with a great mix of other new wave and post-punk legends this week on Teenage Kicks.
