The Time Machine makes a stop in 1991 this time. The big story was Nirvana, but that wasn't the only big album: R.E.M. dropped their Out of Time effort, which sold over 18 million copies. U2 reinvented themselves with their Achtung Baby album. A Tribe Called Quest issued one of the great hip hop albums of the year.
