Parallel Lives
September 23, 2023

This week we’re revisiting Parallel Lines, the break-out album from Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Blondie, released 45 years ago in September 1978. Fronted & founded by lead singer Debbie Harry and guitarist Chris Stein -- Blondie pioneered the American punk-meets-new wave scene in the mid-70s in New York City. Known for their eclectic mix of musical styles, incorporating elements of disco, pop, reggae and early rap music -- Blondie was originally considered to be an underground band, and it was their third album, Parallel Lines that brought Blondie international acclaim.
