This week, we're celebrating the forthcoming reissue of Big Hits of Mid-America Volume Three, the cult classic compilation album from local label Twin/Tone Records originally released in 1979, and showcasing some of the trailblazing underground bands that helped define the 70s and 80s punk and new wave scene in Minneapolis. Well, the album has been remastered and will be in record stores once again this Friday. And there's a not to be missed live performance this Saturday night at the Hopkins Center for the Arts, reuniting some of the legendary local acts featured on the album including Curtiss A, The Hypstrz, Suicide Commandos, The Pistons, Fingerprints and Yipes.
