New Wave ballads

"Save a Prayer" is the sixth single by the English new wave band Duran Duran, released on August 9, 1982. It was not originally issued as a single in the United States, although the music video was very popular on MTV. A special U.S. single version was finally released in January 1985, reaching number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100.

This week on Transmission, we spotlight New Wave ballads. Now these artists were played a lot on the radio and MTV back in the '80s, and they very well might have been hanging on your bedroom wall ... or at least your parents' wall for that matter. Michael Hutchence of INXS, Simon LeBon of Duran Duran, Bryan Ferry of Roxy Music, the list goes on. This show is definitely going to be packing plenty of swoon.
