Every Monday at 8:30am StarTribune sports writer Michael Rand stops into the Morning Show to share the latest news in Sports.

Today Michael Rand chatted with The Morning Show's Steve Seel and Jill Riley about:

1) The Kevin Love trade is finally official and the three players the Timberwolves acquired -- Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and Thaddeus Young -- will be introduced during a news conference Tuesday at the State Fair. How cool/crazy is that?

2) Are you ready for some football? The Gophers open year 4 under coach Jerry Kill on Thursday night against Eastern Illinois.

3) The Twins set two dubious franchise records this weekend: the most hits allowed during a four-game series (60) and the longest nine-inning game (4 hours, 10 minutes on Sunday). Maybe they are replacing the Wolves as the most cursed franchise in town.
