1) The NFL. Between Adrian Peterson's stunning indictment for child abuse and the Vikings' 30-7 home loss to the Patriots, it was a really bad few days for Minnesota.

2) This sounds sick and wrong, but hockey is starting really soon. The Wild opens training camp on Friday, which is technically still summer. The first regular season game is less than a month away.
