Every Monday at 8:30am StarTribune sports writer Michael Rand stops into the Morning Show to share the latest news in Sports.

Today Michael Rand chatted with The Morning Show's Jill Riley and John Munson about:

1) Teddy Bridgewater threw for 317 yards in leading the Vikings to a 41-28 victory in his first career start, but he also sprained his ankle late in the game. It was a mostly promising day for Bridgewater; all we have to decide now is which puns about his name are acceptable and which aren't.

2) that was only the second-most stunning local football victory of the weekend. The Gophers won at Michigan, beating the Wolverines for the first time since 2005.

3) Twins' season is over, and Monday or Tuesday should bring a decision on whether the team will make major moves -- such as firing manager Ron Gardenhire -- or stay the course after a fourth consecutive 90-loss season.
