Last night, the Americana Music Honors and Awards Show took place at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The honorees in various categories included Lucinda Williams, Sturgill Simpson, Shakey Graves, Los Lobos, the Mavericks, B.B. King (posthumously) and many others. The Tennessean newspaper has provided a summary of the awards night and the honorees.

The awards ceremony happens in conjunction with the Americana Music Conference in Nashville, which continues into the weekend. The Current's Bill DeVille, host of the Sunday program United States of Americana, along with Program Director Jim McGuinn, attended last night's awards program and are attending the conference.

As the conference continues, let's echo the celebration of Americana music in our own way.
