Israel Nash and his band got up and left New York City for Dripping Springs, TX back in 2011. Even sound engineer Ted Young lugged his 16-track analog tape machine halfway across the country to record the album in Israel's Texas home. Their 2013 effort, Rain Plans, established Nash and company as industrious folk rockers in the mold of Neil Young and CSN.

After a successful 2013, Israel Nash returned to Dripping Springs to build a proper follow-up: Israel Nash's Silver Season.

In the new album, Nash deftly mixes Americana, outlaw country and psychedelic rock.
