For the first time ever we have a local No.1 and No.2 and they're on tour together right now! Their First Avenue gig on Nov. 28 has long been sold out, but Hippo Campus just announced a Feb. 5 show in Duluth to warm up for a U.K. tour that month. Their tourmates Bad Bad Hats, meanwhile, walked off with City Pages' "Picked To Click" award last week!
Submit your Chart Show ballot this week for a chance to win tickets to the New Standards 9th Annual Holiday Show at the State Theatre on Saturday, Dec. 5!
Dawes are inducted to the Hall of Fame for the seventh time placing them at No.3 on the All-Time Hall of Fame chart. They return to the road Dec. 4 in New York City for a show benefiting our radio friends at WFUV with more of our friends Brandi Carlile, Lucius and Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings.
Foals are inducted, too, but for the very first time. They're playing a holiday show as well, but for a slightly bigger station: KROQ in Los Angeles.
Wolf Alice are back with another track from My Love Is Cool which is nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. We'll keep our fingers crossed for them as the prestigious U.K. award is announced this Friday.
Leon Bridges is also back on the chart with another from Coming Home, which is what he did on Saturday night, wrapping up his U.S. tour with a "triumphant homecoming" in Dallas.
Big Saturday Night Live performance last weekend for Disclosure, at No.15 this week, with guest vocalists Sam Smith and Lorde. Apparently some viewers thought the young Kiwi was so good she must have been lip syncing?!
