The Current is giving away Hippo Campus meet and greet passes

It's been a wild couple of years for Hippo Campus. Back May of in 2014, The Current's Local Show host Andrea Swensson fell for the band based on their one and only single, "Little Grace." November of that same year the Twin Cities-based quartet place second in City Pages Picked to Click – three months before their debut EP Bashful Creatures even released. Since its debut, Hippo Campus have gone on what seems like non-stop tours, opening for bands like Modest Mouse, JR JR and Walk the Moon.

And they're still on the up and up. Supporting South — their follow-up to Bashful Creatures and second EP of 2015 — Hippo Campus have graduated from opening act to headliner.

On Saturday, Nov. 28 Hippo Campus will play their first headlining gig at First Avenue. Yup, the big room. Before the very sold out show, The Current is hosting a private sound check party and meet and greet with the band at the venue. This is an exclusive event, so enter for your chance to win a pair of passes — plus tickets to that night's show — using the form below!

Five (5) winners will receive two (2) passes to an exclusive Hippo Campus sound check party and meet and greet with the band and two (2) guest list spots for their sold out show on Saturday, Nov. 28 at First Avenue. Three (3) back up names will be drawn.

Prize retail value: $100
