Radiohead make a huge jump from No.19 to the top this week! Perhaps it's because you, like us, have been thinking of your Top 89 picks and, like me, have Radiohead on your list! So does The Guardian, one of my favorite music writing sites.

Submit your Chart Show ballot for a chance to win a prize pack including tickets to a Bad Plus holiday show of your choice and a $50 gift certificate to the Dakota Jazz Club!

Car Seat Headrest make a big leap, too, up 14 places! Teens of Denial is one of my favorite albums and the band recorded one of my favorite in-studio sessions of the year.

Lizzo dropped from last week's No.1, but she holds the record of eight weeks in total at the top this year. She's playing at First Avenue this weekend; Saturday is sold out and Sunday is close to being. NPR published a robust piece on her this week, revealing that she plays ... flute!

Regina Spektor took a break from the chart last week but impressively bounced back to No.4. Like me and the missus, she's obviously a fan of Charlie Rose who interviewed her last week.

A hot new song on our chart last week and moving up to 14 is "Hold On" by the xx which has already appeared on some year-end lists despite being released just last week. Their world tour next year starting in Stockholm should prove to be one of the biggest of
2017: They've already sold out seven nights in London!

The only brand new entry this week is from the oldest band to be on our chart ... evah! The Rolling Stones' brand new album of even older songs is The Current's Album of the Week.

Metacritic, a long-running site dedicated to tracking other music sites, compile a Best Of list every year. By definition this should give us an idea of who really release good albums any given year. Another of the older artists on our chart took their top spot: David Bowie. He edged out Beyonce, Frank Ocean, Radiohead and Nick Cave.
