Queens Of The Stone Age end their 10 week run on the chart by climbing to the top. They're inducted to The Chart Hall of Fame for the first time and the new album "Villians" is Album of the Week, reviewed by Brian Oake, who has in the past declared them to be his fave band!

Phantogram come in as the highest new entry this week, buoyed no doubt by their headlining 'Music on a Stick' performance on Saturday at The State Fair Grandstand on a gorgeous night.

Beck is back too at #6 with another song from Colors which will be out in October. When he played the Palace Theater last month he did a searing version of "Purple Rain"; at the weekend on a re-run of his Austin City Limits performance he ended with a squalling harmonica take on a song that the local trio Koerner, Ray and Glover made famous, who he talked about doing a gig with when he was here and in Detroit this weekend he saluted Walter Becker of Steely Dan who just passed away, calling him "a rock'n'roll hero".

Speaking of R'n'R heroes...Robert Plant has a new solo album coming October 13 and you guys made it #13 on this weeks chart after we have only played it for two weeks! Can only hope he comes to play the Twin Cities this time.

Lana Del Rey is back at #14 with a woman who just played the Twin Cities at the State Fair Grandstand, Stevie Nicks. She also took time to celebrate Prince during her performance, admitting to ripping off his "Little Red Corvette"!

Phoenix are also new at #17 with the title track from their latest. Their world tour in support, only has 6 gigs in the USA booked right now in October, check your local listings to see if you're lucky, we're not!

The War on Drugs make it 6 new entries in all, with one of the songs that they played at our most recent Micro-Show.

Thanks to all the bands who joined us at The Fair, including JD McPherson who I hear ripped it up on the last Saturday with Jill and Brian! And thanks to all of you who stopped by the booth to say hi, it was awesome!!

Submit your Chart Show ballot this week for a chance to win a pair of passes to Spoon at the Palace Theatre!
