DJ Pick of the Week: Kacy & Clayton, 'The Light of Day'

Saskatchewan duo Kacy & Clayton's music taps into a bottomless well of folk and country influences from North America and the British Isles, injecting centuries of musical and cultural history with youthful energy and a modern sensibility.

This duo of Kacy Anderson and Clayton Linthecum are cousins and longtime friends from Saskatchewan, Canada. They discovered a mutual love of vintage folk music as youngsters. You can hear it all over their new album The Siren's Song, which was produced by Jeff Tweedy! You can hear a kind of British folk feel all over the album. If you are a fan of Sandy Denny and Richard & Linda Thompson you might really dig this!

The song "The Light of Day" really caught my ear. This song has that late 1970's British folk feel with a hint of American twang. I love it!

See Kacy & Clayton will be performing along with The Cactus Blossoms for United States of Americana's 8th Anniversary on November 25th!
