The 2018 Minnesota State Fair runs Aug. 23 to Sept. 3, and among the many attractions and exhibits (and food!) are a number of musical acts. Each night of the fair, the Grandstand offers a performance, including The Current's own Music On-a-Stick on Saturday, Aug. 25, featuring Trampled By Turtles, Lord Huron, and Lissie.

Beyond the ticketed performances in the Grandstand, many other stages across the fairgrounds offer music performances — in fact, 900 shows by more than 100 acts over the course of the 12 days of the Fair.

To help sort through it all, The Current's Bill DeVille provides an overview of some of the music highlights happening at this year's State Fair.
