The Chart Show: New Year starts on a high note for Low

Low kick off the new year at Number One, and they're inducted to The Chart Hall of Fame for being on for 10 weeks, their second induction. They're starting 2019 on the road in Europe and then have a bunch of US dates lined up in the spring, but first they'll again be involved in the 24 hour Drone Not Drones show at The Cedar on January 25.
Sharon Van Etten is inducted to the HOF for the very first time, a good start to her 2019 comeback which will begin with the release of 'Remind Me Tomorrow' on January 19. Her world tour starts in DC on February 6 and lands at First Avenue on February 16.
Maggie Rogers will be inducted next week if she stays on the chart, but her song "Light On" will always be remembered as one of the biggest breakout hits of last year.

The highest new entry of the new year is at #7 for Robyn, another artist who is making 2019 a big comeback year with a massive world tour planned behind the release of her new Honey album, including a sold out show at The Palace Theater on March 5.
February 5 Interpol return to the Twin Cities with a show at The Palace Theatre, but if you go don't be "fashionably late" because Sunflower Bean are opening for them. They crash in at 17.
Elle King shook up the country pop world with her "Shake The Spirit" album of last year. 50K views of this recent James Corden appearance singing this song proves she's the real deal.
Heart Bones is a new collaboration between Har Mar Superstar and his friend from Austin, TX where he spends a lot of his time, Sabrina Ellis. They'll be doing the big Valentines Day show at First Avenue, perfect for the generation who love to sing the songs of "Dirty Dancing". They even did a few shimmies when they played a session for us back in November.
J.S. Ondara grew up in Nairobi, Kenya but was drawn to MN through his love of Bob Dylan. His album 'Tales of America' will be released February 15 but you can get a sneak peak during our Birthday show.
