The band Bad Bad Hats, fronted by lead singer/songwriter Kerry Alexander, celebrated their sophomore album, Lightning Round, with their first headlining show at First Avenue in August 2018. This Friday, Bad Bad Hats will return to the iconic concert venue to perform for The Current's 14th Birthday Party.

"What was I doing when I was 14?" mused Alexander. "I had my first kiss. That was not well executed, but it was a learning experience that I will not soon forget. Just the same, The Current's 14th Birthday Party will be an unforgettable evening of music and fun, so I hope we see you there."

The lead singer is no stranger to The Current, and Andrea Swensson stepped out of the studio to let the indie rock artist take the wheel for the second half of The Current's Local Show.

For Alexander's Theft of the Dial, she shared some of her favorite local music from artists she's collaborated with, slipping in some songs featuring her bandmate Con Davison, drummer for Bad Bad Hats.
