We've done it before but we can't avoid it on a day when we have both a History Highlight and an Album of the Week featuring original versions of famous songs.

Today in 1973, Dolly Parton recorded "I Will Always Love You" in RCA's Studio B in Nashville. It was written as a farewell for her one-time partner and mentor, Porter Wagoner, as Parton was going solo professionally. But the song made a legendary splash when Whitney Houston recorded her version for the 1992 film The Bodyguard.

Our Album of the Week is Prince Originals the most recent collection from the Prince vault -- songs written by Prince but made famous by others. Sean McPherson wrote the review and he says, "If you want to hear Prince laying down the coos that would guide Appollonia, the grooves that Sheila E would make famous, and even the song that Kenny Rogers got a piece - look no further."

So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what original versions of later famous songs do you want to hear?
