Craig Minowa is the frontman of Cloud Cult, who played Rock the Garden 2008; filling out the lineup that year were headliner Andrew Bird as well as the New Pornographers, and opener Bon Iver.

The popular concert series at Walker Art Center and the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden had been dormant since 2004, but the year 2008 saw the series relaunch with The Current's partnership, and it has continued ever since.

Reflecting on his experience at Rock the Garden, Minowa shares some memories with The Current. You can hear Minowa's recollections in the audio clips above.

Minowa also shared some updates about what Cloud Cult will be doing in 2020, including two sold-out shows with the Minnesota Orchestra, and an upcoming tour that will also incorporate some education about climate change, consistent with the band's longstanding environmental action.
