Wednesday, April 21, marks the five-year anniversary of the passing of Prince. Listen to The Current all day long as we celebrate the life of Minneapolis's greatest music icon.

From 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., we will share a chronological look at Prince's career, featuring songs from every album Prince released. Listen also for Musicheads Essentials features on key albums from Prince's canon.

The Morning Show
Staring at 8 a.m., Jill Riley will take us back to Prince's beginnings in Minneapolis. We'll also play some Prince Trivia, and feature an interview with Paisley Park Executive Director Alan Seiffert.

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Join Jade for hourlong episodes of The Current's Prince: The Story of 1999 and Prince: The Story of Sign O' The Times podcasts. Jade will also replay what we all heard on April 21, 2016, when The Current alumna Andrea Swensson reported the news live from Paisley Park.

2 to 6 p.m.
Mary Lucia will replay some of her interviews with Prince's friends and colleagues, captured on April 21, 2016, and she will also play the music recorded at the street celebration that night in front of First Avenue, when the entire community came together to sing along to their favorite Prince songs.

6 to 10 p.m.
Sean McPherson features music from Prince's recent career, as well as playing highlights from The Revolution's incredible set at Rock the Garden 2017. We'll also hear Theft of the Dial interviews with The Revolution and with Donna Grantis of 3RDEYEGIRL. Sean wraps up the night with a trip into Prince's Vault to feature some of the best recordings released since Prince's passing.
