Explore the best scenes and sounds of Minnesota with The Current in a new video series: Minnesota Sessions. Local musicians will perform in some of our state's best natural
offerings, from day trip destinations to hidden gems.

LANUE

For the next installment in the series, Sarah Krueger brings the lustrous sounds of her project, Lanue, to Black Beach in Silver Bay, Minnesota. Under the Lanue moniker, the Duluth-based singer-songwriter embarks on a new artistic evolution with multilayered soundscapes that weave in acoustic and electronic elements.

FAITH BOBLETT

For the final installment, Faith Boblett brings her timeless songs to the Belwin Conservancy in Afton, MN. Boblett's music falls between pop, Americana, rock, and alt-country--and you can hear inspiration in her music from songwriters like Brandi Carlile and Tom Petty in her sound.

DAVE SIMONETT

For the second installment, Dave Simonett brings acoustic tunes to the Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center in Finland, MN. You know Dave as the frontman of Duluth-based bluegrass act Trampled by Turtles as well as his work under the moniker Dead Man Winter, and he's developed a legacy as an endearing and thoughtful songwriter.

MILOE

For the first installment in the series, Miloe brings his cool, breezy music to a warm summer day at Franconia Sculpture Park, an outdoor sculpture park in Franconia, Minnesota. The Congolese native moved to Minnesota at age 8, and blends elements of lo-fi bedroom pop with restrained yet bubbly production.
