Coffee Break: songs by great duos
by Jill Riley and Luke Taylor
March 03, 2022

Tonight at First Avenue in Minneapolis, British band Wet Leg perform the second show of their first U.S. tour. It's a sold-out show, and it comes before Wet Leg have yet to release their debut album (it's coming out on April 8). In 2021, it's fair to say Wet Leg took the music world by storm — and by surprise. And what's more fun about that is that best friends Hester Chambers and Rhian Teasdale, the duo who comprise Wet Leg, were just as surprised as anyone else, as they told Jill Riley in a November 2021 interview. Their breakout single "Chaise Longue" became a major hit, even landing at No. 1 in The Current's Top 89 of 2021.
In the run-up to Wet Leg's big show tonight at First Avenue, we're thinking about them and other groundbreaking songwriting duos in music. So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs performed by great duos do you want to hear?
