Coffee Break: songs for the weather

Thanks to internet streaming, we know that people listen to The Current from all over. But here in Minnesota where The Current is based, we and our local audience know all too well that Minnesota has been enveloped in a three-day cloud of rain and snow showers, and it continues today. The Minnesota Twins, who were set to play their home opener against the Seattle Mariners tonight at Target Field in Minneapolis, had to postpone the game due to the wintry weather. Thankfully, according to MPR News meteorologist Sven Sundgaard, there's hope for sunnier weather in the days ahead. (Also, it's Severe Weather Awareness Week in Minnesota, reminding us that spring can bring severe thunderstorms and tornadoes.)
But living in a constant swirl of cold, rain and snow — particularly in April — can take its toll. Fortunately, we can turn to music to either reflect how we're feeling or to help lift us out of the doldrums. So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs do you want to hear that fit the mood of the weather this week?
