Prince wrote, produced, and performed a majority of his own iconic discography, but he developed multiple side projects and promoted others under his Paisley Park label as well. Vanity 6 and The Time were just a couple projects born from the creative mind of Minneapolis’ own. Prince’s impact also went beyond his own studio; he wrote many songs that became staple tunes of other music groups.

In honor of Prince’s birthday, we’ll explore his impact on the music industry by celebrating his music legacy — not only his catalog, but songs he worked on behind the scenes as well. For today’s 9:30 Coffee Break: What songs do you want to hear that are products of Prince’s side projects and protégés?
