Throughout the years of television, shows have been defined by music. Whether it’s classic hits being revived, new songs getting exposure, or sleeper hits getting the recognition they initially deserved. Everyone can remember a moment during a scene of a show where they were moved by the song choice.

Television has elevated music and given artists a chance to reach new audiences and promote new songs. In recent news, Kate Bush’s 1985 hit “Running Up that Hill” has come back to claim a spot in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart thanks to the recent season of the hit show “Stranger Things”. Phoebe Bridgers has released a new single that has people eager to check out the new series “Conversations with Friends”. Also, it was on this day in 2007 that the classic TV drama “The Sopranos” came to an end with the powerful use of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing”. Some of the most memorable uses of songs have been in television. For today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs do you want to hear that have memorable connections to TV shows?
