Coffee Break: Lilith Fair Performers

Today, back in 1997, it was day two of Lilith Fair: a groundbreaking all-female music festival. The lineup featured female alternative musicians including Sheryl Crow, Jewel, The Indigo Girls, Lisa Loeb, Fiona Apple, and more.
Lilith Fair was the culmination of a year of work by its founder Sarah McLachlan after being told by music and concert industry executives that putting more than one woman back-to-back on a lineup or radio playlist wouldn't sell. Lilith sold out nearly every single show its first year and returned for two more summers. It went on to become the top-grossing music festival of the late 1990s.
As we celebrate the 25th anniversary of this groundbreaking music festival, let’s commend the artists that stood up for themselves and help elevate the voices of women everywhere. For today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs do you want to hear from Lilith Fair performers?
