Today is International Strange Music Day. The holiday was created to encourage people to listen to music they don’t normally listen to. New York City musician and Julliard graduate Patrick Grant is credited for creating the holiday in 1998. Grant believes that broadening your spectrum of music promotes seeing things from a different perspective. Music comes in all different forms. What is considered weird to some, may be completely normal to another. International Strange Music Day helps us to listen without prejudice.
