In honor of “Weird Al” Yankovic’s new biopic trailer dropping yesterday, we’re reflecting on the musician’s critical yet humorous approach to pop culture. Weird Al has been regularly touring over the span of his 46-year long career and continues to put out albums. However, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story is the musician’s first new movie since the cult classic UHF. The new film stars Daniel Radcliffe and, much like his music, takes a satirical approach to the over-the-top musical biopics that have hit the big screen over the years.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate all the laughs the musical parodist “Weird Al” Yankovic has provided us over the years by paying respect the originals. For today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, we’ll play a set of songs that have been parodied by Weird Al. What are some of your favorites?
