Today is Election Day! Across the country, voters are heading to the polls to elect federal and state leaders in the midterm elections. Voters are also weighing in on key ballot initiatives. During this midterm election year, all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 35 of the 100 seats in the Senate will be contested. Thirty-nine state and territorial gubernatorial elections, as well as numerous other state and local elections, will be contested. The results will determine the 118th United States Congress. The polls are open until 8:00pm tonight for citizens to head out and exercise their right to vote.

Let’s build a playlist of music that mentions choice, making your voice heard, or songs that describe your feelings about this election. For today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs do you want to include in an Election Day playlist?
