A winter storm will be unfolding in southwest and central Minnesota today. A band of moderate to heavy snow will stretch from southern Minnesota into Wisconsin, wrapping up tonight after the evening commute. Snow can be a beautiful thing, but it can also be dangerous. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1. Be sure to follow MPR News for weather updates!

Hopefully, you can watch the snow through a window from the comfort and warmth of the indoors. As we hunker down and brace ourselves for the storm, let’s build the ultimate blizzard playlist. For today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what snow day songs do you want to hear?
