There are some exciting SNL musical guests lined up for the next couple weeks, including Brandi Carlile tomorrow night (Dec. 10), and Yeah Yeah Yeahs performing on the season finale (Dec. 17). On this day in 2000, U2 made their first-ever appearance on the late-now comedy show. The band played "Beautiful Day" and "Elevation." Who can forget the iconic moment in 1992 when Sinead O’connor (who just celebrated her 56th birthday yesterday), ripped up a photo of Pope John Paul II?

What are some notable Saturday Night Live performances? Do you have a favorite performance from over the years? Did it surprise you to see a particular artist make an appearance? Help us build a playlist of memorable SNL musical moments. For today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs do you want to hear from artists who have performed on SNL?
