We’ve seen quite a few comebacks this past year in the world of music. Most notable are the songs “Running Up That Hill” by Kate Bush and Metallica’s “Master of Puppets” thanks to the Netflix series Stranger Things. Another streaming show responsible for the resurgence of “old” songs is the new series Wednesday. “Goo Goo Muck” by the Cramps makes an appearance in an episode where the title character dances along to the song with a personal flair – a dance that has been recreated by fans in a viral trend.

TV shows aren’t the only thing bringing classic tunes back. Tik Tok, Twitter, and other apps are digging deep into music history and resurfacing songs to recycle back into popular culture. What was once old is now new in 2022! Let’s reflect on all the songs that made a comeback this past year. For today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs do you want to hear that became popular again in 2022?
